Young Ziggy

Mason Gilbert Jr known in the music industry as Young Ziggy is a 26 year old recording artist Raised in Richmond Ca. Young Ziggy was influenced by the likes of 2Pac, Scarface and the early recordings of Lil Wayne and the Hotboys He begin writing raps at the young age of 10 after witnessing his older siblings writing raps at his parents house one night. Young Ziggy first recorded at the age of 16 with the group YOUNG DUNNY'Z in 2004-2005 with exclusive production by Big Time Simon of San Francisco. After some differences with the group Young Ziggy went solo and was featured on numerous projects affiliated with Eddi Projex label Pay Roll Family. Since then Young Ziggy has been making a name for his self as what some may consider a real rap type of artist. Young Ziggy brings to the music industry a raw street perspective of life from the inner cities filled with addiction, crime, gangs, death and everything else you can imagine may happen being raised in Richmond CA. Currently Young Ziggy has released a series of solo mixtapes "leader of the new school" and "leader of the new school 2" both being accepted well in the bay area with singles from leader of the new school 2 receiving radio play. Young Ziggy has recently started his own independent label with his uncle and bay area underground rap legend 3HMB called The dynasty muzik group and and will be dropping future projects under the label.
